Wale Gbalajobi

Born in Nigeria, Wale came to Canada over 35 years ago to attend the University of Calgary. After his education he worked in the financial services sector rising to top management positions. He left banking in 2002 to setup his own financial consulting business and also work as an entrepreneur because Wale believes one can’t give proper advice if they have no track record of success.

As a volunteer and fund raiser, he has served on the board of Families Matter and was the chairperson of CIBC United Way’s fund raising. He is a past President of the Nigerian Canadian Association of Calgary and has also chaired this Association’s

fundraising which culminated in the purchase of Nigeria house in Calgary. He is the current Chairperson of his high school’s alumni in North America, which boasts the current Nigerian High Commissioner to Canada as a member.

Wale believes to whom much is given, much is expected. 1 Peter 4.10 (NIV) “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” He strongly believes that Advancing the Kingdom using his God given talent is a task that must be done.

Wale has been married to Bernie for the last 32 years. They have two daughters, Tayo and Tola.
